Unwary travellers do dumb things. It follows that you will become an ‘aware traveller’ – and, by extension, a safer one – if you do the opposite.

Unwary travellers…..

1. Travel to places they know nothing about.
2. Make appointments with people they don’t know.
3. Don’t bother to perform the most basic of risk assessment exercises.
4. Make it obvious when they are lost and act hesitantly.
5. Behave overseas as if they were in their own backyard.
6. Assume they are invisible, immortal or both!
